MOSCOW, September 28 (RIA Novosti) - Moscow is satisfied with the results of the meeting between prime minister of India Manmohan Singh and President of Pakistan Pervez Musharraf at the 59th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, the foreign ministry's press and information department told RIA Novosti on Monday. We consider this meeting as an important stage in developing non-confrontational relations between the two major states of South Asia, says the report.
The foreign ministry also positively assessed the desire expressed by both countries to continue the dialogue at various levels. We hope that this will contribute to the settlement of the entire complex of problems existing
between India and Pakistan by way of bilateral negotiations in the spirit of the Simla and Lahore agreements, says the document.
On September 24, at their meeting in New York the leaders of India and Pakistan agreed to continue the comprehensive dialogue on all the key problems of bilateral relations. In addition, both countries decided to use all the variants for peaceful solution of the Kashmir problem at the negotiation table.
