The presentation of the existing and prospective information technology services for experts and ordinary customers is the forum's main idea, the organizing committee reported.
To attract more public attention the InfoCom-2004 forum will be simultaneously held in five Russian cities: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Krasnodar and Yekaterinburg.
The forum will feature the results of the implementation of the Electronic Russia federal target program for 2003-2004. The expositions will present new information technologies and their advantages, including the network of electronic libraries, electronic versions of tax returns, communal and other payments, TV medicine and training and other aspects.
The finals of the Russian first championship of computer games and the first Internet chess cup will be held during the forum.
Moreover, its program includes conferences, symposiums, and roundtable on a wide range of information communications issues, the organizing committee said.
