MOSCOW, October 2 (RIA Novosti) - The album "Russian Art Masterpieces. Russia's Golden Map" was presented in Leipzig's fine arts museum. This album is included in a major exhibition and publishing project of the Tretyakov Gallery, Russia's Golden Map, which won Russia's State Prize in 2003.
The unique album includes about 400 best works of Russian fine art and sculpture from the collections of the Tretyakov Gallery and leading regional art museums. Some works are reproduced for the first time.
The English edition of the album was published, as well. Its presentations were held at the Frankfurt Book Fair, in Jerusalem, London and Leipzig, the Tretyakov Gallery told RIA Novosti.
The album is now translated into the Czech language. It will be presented in Prague in late November 2004. After that, it will be translated into French and German and presented in Paris and Vienna.
