"The two leaders will hold negotiations on a wide range of matters relating to bilateral cooperation and on current international issues. It is planned to sign an important document designed to deepen relations of the strategic partnership and cooperation in the political, economic, humanitarian, international and other fields," the press-service said in its release.
The press-service noted that the visit by the Russian head of state is timed to coincide with the 55th anniversary of the establishing of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
As part of his trip Putin will also visit the city of Xian, where he is scheduled to attend a meeting between heads of Russian regions and China's western regions.
The president will be accompanied on his trip by a large group of Russian regional governors and businessmen.
