MONEY FROM LUKOIL SALE TRANSFERRED TO BUDGET

MOSCOW, October 8 (RIA Novosti) - On Friday the Federal Property Fund (RFFI) transferred the money from the sale of the state's package of LUKoil's shares to the budget.

"On Thursday Springtime Holdings Limited paid in full for the purchase of the state's package of LUKoil shares," the fund's spokesman, Vladimir Zelentsov, said. "Today the RFFI transferred this money to the budget."

Springtime Holdings Limited represented the interests of ConocoPhillips at the auction of the LUKoil shares.

The state's package was sold for $1.988 billion. The fund transferred 97% of the money to the budget and retained 3% as a commission for organizing the auction.

The starting price of the state block of shares was $1.928 billion.

The fund and ConocoPhillips was concluded the purchase contract on October 1. In keeping with the contract, the purchaser of the LUKoil shares had to transfer the entire sum in one tranche into the privatization operations account.
