The signing of these documents is "an important step, which is beyond the bilateral framework, and is a stabilizing factor across Central Asia," Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the private talks with his Tajik counterpart Emomali Rakhmonov on Saturday.
According to the Russian leader, our partners all over the world are satisfied with this security consolidation progress.
Today Russia and Tajikistan boast confidential and constructive relations of strategic partnership, Vladimir Putin stressed.
We shall be gradually and successfully solving the remaining bilateral problems, he added.
On his part, Emomali Rakhmonov thanked Vladimir Putin for accepting his invitation to pay an official visit to Tajikistan. "Russia has always been our strategic partner and ally," he noted.
"I hope we shall sign important historic documents providing security both in Central Asia and in the world," the Tajik President said.
