GEORGIAN PRESIDENT INJURES WRIST

TBILISI, October 26 (RIA Novosti) - Having received medical assistance related to a hand injury, the Georgian President resumed his normal work.

On Monday evening Mr. Saakashvili was taken to the Tbilisi trauma center for medical assistance, Novosti Georgia reported.

On Tuesday Georgian Health Minister Vladimir Chipashvili told journalists that the President had injured his right wrist. "He got the injury at the evening training," he said. "X-ray showed that he had injured a wrist joint - doctors saw a fissure there." "The hand was cased in plaster and the President left the hospital," the minister pointed out. Mr. Saakashvili spent there several hours, he added.
