UKRAINIAN TV AUDIENCES SHOWER RUSSIAN PRESIDENT WITH QUESTIONS

KIEV, October 26 (RIA Novosti) - Per-minute in-calls for Vladimir Putin have risen to 520 over the first 25 minutes of the Russian President's current live interview on three Ukrainian television channels, including the government-run Channel One and the commercial networks Inter and 1+1 Studio.

The average number of in-calls was 25 as the interview got started, an Inter moderator reported. According to him, people from all across Ukraine are calling in to put a question to the Russian President. About 2,500 calls were reportedly taken in the first 15 minutes of the show and 80,000 more had been taken prior to it.

Forty percent of all the questions to Mr Putin have been posed by Ukrainians with a university degree. Male and female viewers are being equally active in this TV interview, the Inter anchorman says.
