GROZNY, October 31 (RIA Novosti) - A criminal case under "terrorism" article of the Criminal Code has been filed in relation to the two explosions in Grozny on Sunday, announced the Chechen Prosecutor General's Office.

The representative of the Chechen Prosecutor General's Office could not specify the exact number of victims, saying that the correct data is being confirmed at the moment.

Earlier, the representative of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Operational Headquarters (ROH) Ilya Shabalkin reported 13 wounded as a result of both explosions.

The first bomb was set off at 7:40 a.m. Moscow time in the central part of Grozny on the Staropromyslovsky road when a group of the Chechen President's security service officers was coming back from an operation in two cars.

As a result, two officers were wounded and transported to city hospital No. 9, where the second explosion occurred.

As a result of the second explosion, 11 people were wounded; some of them remain in critical condition. The majority of wounded are from the Chechen President's security service, hospital workers and civilians.

"Both terrorist acts on October 31 in Grozny were conducted by militants from a bandit group headed by Yunadi Turchayev under direct orders from Maskhadov and Basayev," said Gen. Shabalkin.
