MOSCOW, November 1 (RIA Novosti) - As of 9 a.m. Moscow time, Ukraine's Central Election Commission has processed 78.5% of protocols provided by election commissions. Viktor Yanukovich is in the lead.

Latest reports say 42.21% of voters supported Mr Yanukovich, while Viktor Yushchenko secured the support of 37.15% of the electorate.

Ukrainian nationals abroad have also finished voting.

Over 63,000 Ukrainians voted in 123 polling stations abroad, according to Ukrainian Foreign Minister Markiyan Lubkivsky.

"Election commissions are finishing counting votes and drawing protocols," said Mr Lubkivsky.

Mr Lubkivsky cited data provided by Ukraine's embassy and consulate general in the United States. As of 7 p.m. local time, people were not lining up at the polling stations in Washington, New York and San Francisco. All who came to the stations had a chance of casting their votes.
