VLADIVOSTOK, November 3, (RIA Novosti) - The crew of the strategic nuclear-powered missile-carrying submarine of the Pacific fleet, Svyatoi Georgii Pobedonosets, have successfully carried out scheduled firing exercises, launching a ballistic missile, RIA Novosti was told at the fleet's press centre on Friday. The launching was made from the Sea of Okhotsk towards the northern Russian test range Chizha. The warhead of the missile hit the appointed square of the range precisely at the appointed time.
Admiral Vladimir Kuroyedov, Commander-in-Chief of the Navy of Russia, congratulated the crew of the missile submarine and their commander, Captain of the 1st Rank Vladimir Dmitriev, on the successful firing, it was noted at the press centre.
