MOSCOW, November 4 (RIA Novosti) - Morgan Stanley investment bank has been chosen the state valuator of the Gazprom-Rosneft merger, said a source. He stressed that the valuation contract has not been signed yet. "No official comment," RIA Novosti was told in the bank, but one of its representatives told that Morgan Stanley was on the list of possible valuators.
Deputy Economic Development Minister Andrei Sharonov had said that five international banks were considered for the role of valuator of the Gazprom-Rosneft merger. Stanislav Ananyev, deputy director of the Ministry's department of state regulation of tariffs and infrastructure reforms, recently told journalists that a statement concerning the valuator would be made on behalf of the state within the next few days.
