The officials from the Far Eastern regional department of the Ministry of Emergencies reported on Monday that the day before the aircraft participating in the search discovered only wooden planks, logs, a blanket, some ropes and traces of oil at the supposed site of the tragedy.
On early Monday morning the search operation, involving an AN-74 aircraft, a Mi-8 helicopter and several ships in the area, continued.
7 sailors of the Arosa dry cargo ship and 25 sailors of the West timber ship are considered missing.
The ships sunk approximately at the same location; that is why the same search group is involved in a search-and-rescue operation.
The Arosa dry cargo ship sunk on November 2 during the storm near the coast of the Primorye region. Seven out of 15 crewmembers had been rescued, one died and seven are considered missing. Only two sailors from the 27-member crew of the West timber ship, registered under Mongolian flag, had been rescued so far.
