EURASEC TO DISCUSS INTEGRATION IN MINSK

MOSCOW, November 11 (RIA Novosti) - At a regular meeting in Minsk on November 11-12, the Eurasian Economic Community (Eurasec) Permanent Representatives Commission will discuss Eurasec's integration cooperation, Vladimir Nikanorov, an advisor to the Eurasec secretary general, said.

"In particular, the discussion will focus on the efforts of Eurasec countries' tax agencies to enact agreement on avoiding double taxes and preventing income and capital tax evasion," Mr. Nikanorov noted.

According to him, Eurasec Secretary General Grigory Rapota will attend the meeting and during the meeting, the permanent representatives will exchange opinions about the progress of work on a draft agreement between Eurasec governments on the encouragement and mutual protection of investments.

"The drafts of the concept for Eurasec's agricultural and industrial policy, the concept of the Eurasian Distribution Network, the agreement on state regulation of the grain market, the protocol to the agreement between the Eurasec government on visa-free travel, and other issues will be discussed at the meeting," he said.

The Eurasian Economic Community includes Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan. Armenia, Moldavia and Ukraine are observers.

The commission was created to ensure Eurasec's continued work between the integration committee's sessions, coordinate and agree on the states' positions on closer integration and for interaction between Eurasec and the member countries' agencies, departments and organizations.

The commission considers and provides recommendations for Eurasec member countries' positions, proposals and draft documents. The heads of Eurasec member countries appoint the permanent representatives.
