UKRAINE-RUSSIA: SUMMITEERS TO AGREE ON CRIMEA-CAUCASUS FERRY

KIEV, November 11 (RIA Novosti's Victor Demidenko) - Ukrainian-Russian summitry is opening tomorrow, November 12, to last into the next day. The two Presidents are expected to sign an agreement on resuming Crimea-Caucasus ferry transport.

President Leonid Kuchma of Ukraine made the announcement as he was introducing to the public his Ukraine Foundation. He and President Vladimir Putin also intend to sign an agreement on updating the Kiev-Moscow railway. The works are to finish by next August, said Mr. Kuchma.

Chiefs of the two countries' involved agencies will sign the documents in the Presidents' presence.

The summit venues were announced on a previous occasion-the Krasnodar Territory in European Russia's south, and Ukraine's Crimea.
