MOSCOW, November 13 (RIA Novosti) - A militant involved in a number of major terrorist acts has been arrested in Ingushetia, a source in the Republic's law enforcement bodies told RIA Novosti on the phone.

"Officers of the Ingush Interior Ministry's organized crime department detained Issa Gaparkhoyev from the village of Alkhasty suspected of a number of sabotage and terrorist acts on Ingush territory," RIA Novosti's interlocutor said.

According to him, "Gaparkhoyev confessed that together with Nalgiyev and Gandarov he sabotaged a military unit of the Defense Ministry in Galashki, a village in the Sunzhensky district, on July 29, 2003. Five servicemen were killed and one wounded as a result."

Moreover, Gaparkhoyev said that in September 2004 Khamzat, a member of an illegal armed unit, ordered him to drive a VAZ car with explosives from the village of Ordzhonikidzevskaya to Nazran to perform a terrorist act against the acting interior minister of Ingushetia.

It turned out that Khamzat's real name is Said-Magomed Khashiyev. He and another militant were eliminated in the village of Gamurziyevo on October 10, 2004 during a special operation on the detention of attackers on Ingush policemen on June 22, 2004, the source said.

"Gaparkhoyev said that his gang comprised Nalgiyev, Geliskhanov, Gandarov and Sampiyev eliminated on April 17, 2004 during a special operation in the village of Ordzhonikidzevskaya," RIA Novosti's interlocutor noted.

In his words, Gaparkhoyev's gang was also involved in other terrorist acts on Ingush territory in September 2003, in particular, the blowing up of a Ural-4320 car with servicemen in the village of Nesterovskaya (Sunzhensky district) and a ZIL-131 tank truck with Interior Ministry's servicemen in the village of Ordzhonikidzevskaya (Sunzhensky district).
