According to him, the monument at the Finland railway station and three busts on Kamennoostrovsky prospekt, on the corner of Bolshoi prospekt and Shirokaya Street and on the territory of the Pokrovskaya hospital on Vasilyevsky Island were stained with white water paint.
Officials of the sculpture museum have already cleaned the Lenin monument at the railway station. "The district administration gave us a fire-engine to help clean the monument," Mr. Timofeyev noted.
Three busts are being cleaned at the moment. "It was a good paint and we have to use special mixtures to clean wash it off," the director said.

The attitude to history and monuments is a big problem of the city." Last weekend vandals profaned four Vladimir Lenin monuments, Vladimir Timofeyev said.
