The Russian president noted that they spoke in detail on a perspective for Russia-EU and Russia-NATO interaction.
"We will go on with cooperation with Portugal also in international organisations and on the bilateral basis", the Russian president said.
He said that he has agreed with the Portuguese prime minister on support for businesspeople in developing relations between them, as well as on the elaboration of measures of state support within the framework of the intergovernmental commission, as well as in direct dialogue between ministries and departments.
The Russian president thanked the prime minister of Portugal for accepting the invitation and attending the official events in Moscow on the 60th anniversary of victory over fascism.
Vladimir Putin did not rule out the possibility of carrying out large trilateral projects with the participation of Russia, Portugal and Latin American countries.
"In its time the USSR regarded Latin America as a strategic reserve of the socialist world. Thank God, it is a thing of the past", Putin noted.
To him, the Latin American continent has a big future in store. "Portugal can held in building up full-scale relations with many countries of Latin America", the Russian president said.
He noted that Portugal has an experience of contemporary development of relations with countries of Latin America, including Brazil.
