NEW DELHI, December 1 (RIA Novosti) - Russia and France will jointly develop pilotless aircraft, Russian Defence Minister Sergei Ivanov told journalists in New Delhi in answer to a RIA Novosti question.
"We have a promising area of work with France on pilotless aircraft. I think, aviation will further develop along this road", he said.
Russia has accepted the French proposal to take part in developing the fifth generation of fighters.
"As far as France is concerned, I'm pessimistic about the project", Sergei Ivanov said.
The Russian defence minister is now on an official visit in the Indian capital, participating in work of the intergovernmental commission for military-technical cooperation.
