"We shall treat Russia as a country with market economy within the framework of the possible anti-dumping probes in the future," the premier stressed.
Mr. Singh said India would stick by the statement of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on recognition of Russian economy as a market one and was ready to recognize Russia's status as such.
Moreover, India will support Russia's accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO) and speed up our talks in this sphere, he noted.
According to Manmohan Singh, the talks with Mr. Putin focused on cooperation in the spheres of investments, development of oil fields, and peaceful use of nuclear energy.
"The energy cooperation was a highly important aspect of the negotiations," the Prime Minister said.
The talks between Manmohan Singh and Vladimir Putin lasted for one hour and a half instead of planned 30 minutes.
After that, the two leaders were joined by members of their delegations.
