"After the agreement had been signed, the first session of a coordinating commission was held to consider issues of partnership with the Pratt and Whitney, particularly the latter's investment in the Russian Proton enterprise and the Energomash association, as well as United Technologies' orders with Russian enterprises," Davidenko reported.
According to the official, the commission will convene every six months in the US and Russia or any other location the parties will choose.
"The next session is preliminarily scheduled to take place in Le Bourget next summer," the spokesman for Roskosmos said.
Pratt and Whitney, the world leader in aero engine production, successfully operates throughout the world. The company is an affiliate of United Technologies Corporation, specialising in hi-tech production. The corporation's HQ is situated in Hartford, Connecticut, USA.
Pratt and Whitney has worked in Russia since 1993.
