PARIS, December 10 (RIA Novosti) - Russia and France are to elaborate the Sukhoi medium-range aircraft project by the end of 2005, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov said at the yesterday session of the Russian-French Dialogue Association in Paris. The aircraft will be put in production in 2007, he added.
"This important strategic project consolidates Russian-French partnership and the Russian government is to allocate the money needed to implement it," the premier stressed.
According to him, Russia is considering possibilities to simplify customs and tax procedures to speed up the project's implementation; however, this is a specific issue, which should be taken into account from the legislative point of view.
