According to diplomatic sources, during his meetings with the Iranian leadership, Mr. Mironov will discuss various development venues of parliamentary ties between Russia and Iran, pressing global problems and issues of mutual interest.
The sides will exchange views on future settlement of the Iranian nuclear programs issue, Russian-Iranian cooperation in the sphere of peaceful use of nuclear energy, the situation in Iraq and the ways of political settlement of the crisis in that country.
During the visit, Mr. Mironov is scheduled to address Iranian parliamentarians.
On Sunday, the delegation of Russian senators will fly to the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana. On December 13-14, Russian parliamentarians will participate in the Days of the Federation Council in the Kazakh Senate.
