PARIS, December 11 (RIA Novosti, Andrei Nizamutdinov) - Friday evening, the presentation of a new publication Rost dedicated to issues of Russian-French economic cooperation was held in the French National Assembly - the lower chamber of the French Parliament.

According to sources in Editions du Parlement, one of the oldest French publishing houses that came up with the idea of the Rost publication, its main goal is to inform the readers about current events, perspective venues and pressing problems of Russian-French economic cooperation.

"The level of political cooperation between our countries is very high; however, the potential of our bilateral economic ties has not been used effectively so far," the French colleagues stressed.

In their opinion, the current situation is mainly caused "by the lack of regular and trustworthy information." Therefore, the task of the Rost is to change the situation and help Russian and French businessmen to get to know each other better.

Russian and French parliamentarians, businessmen and journalists, who spoke about the future perspectives of the publication, supported this opinion.

The Rost is initially going to be published in French and Russian every two months in a color A4 "confidential letter format," which is quite popular in France. In the future, the creators of the Rost plan to publish it on a monthly basis.

The publication is primarily intended for businessmen and politicians, decision-makers and public opinion leaders.

RIA Novosti is an information partner of the Rost. Svetlana Mironyuk, the Director General of RIA Novosti made a special trip to Paris to support the initiative of the French colleagues.
