MOSCOW, December 24 (RIA Novosti) - Two Russian nationals sentenced in Qatar have been transferred to their home country. It is up to a Russian law court to determine their future, an informed source told RIA Novosti.
The law court alone shall administer justice in this country, Russia's Constitution says in Clause 118, Item 1. The court will now make a decision, proceeding from the acting legislation, said our interviewee. The two men are in a fairly good form, with account for what they had to live through, he added.
The Qatari court found the men guilty of murdering Zelimkhan Yandarbiev, one of Chechen separatist leaders, who died in a car bombing in February. They were sentenced to life imprisonment.
