"There are two bodies dealing with preparations for the G8 summit meeting in Russia and relevant proposals for discussion at the meeting," Mr. Kudrin said.
At the same time, he stressed that discussion was going in the form of consultations. Particularly, "assistance to the poorest countries, development of the world's financial infrastructure and African nations and environment protection" will be discussed during the summit.
As for the meeting of G8 finance ministers, scheduled for February 4 in London, Mr. Kudrin said that there would be no special discussion of Russia's early repayment of its debt to the Paris Club member countries.
"The issue is not planned for special discussion on Friday," Mr. Kudrin said.
At the same time, he underlined that he was going to raise the issue of the early debt repayment during bilateral meetings with G8 finance ministers.
Mr. Kudrin also said that Russia had been in talks with the key creditors, including negotiations being held by the Russian-German work group. He reminded the media that the German side was not going to issue bonds linked to the Russian debt.
