Planned drilling work began at the Malo-Balyksky oil field, 100 km to the west of Pyt Yakh settlement (the Khanty-Mansi autonomous area, West Siberia). According to experts, this is one of the most promising fields because most of 216 wells meant for drilling in 2005 will be drilled at this field. Meanwhile, work at cluster site 597 was frozen in the end of 2004.
Moreover, Yuganskneftegaz launched tests of new chemical reagents used to prepare marketable oil at the Mamontovsky field (the Tyumen region, West Siberia).
The company has boosted the service of pipelines. Last week the Yuganskneftegaz pipeline exploitation department carried out two operations to clean the inner cavity of the transportation system at the Priobsky field (the right bank of the Ob river). Since the beginning of January repairs works have been held at 9 sectors of the Yugansky, Mamontovsky and Maisky regions.
