MOSCOW, February 7 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian State Duma, the lower house of parliament, will consider holding a vote of no-confidence in the government at its meeting on February 9, Pavel Krasheninnikov, the head of the Duma legislation committee, told RIA Novosti on Monday.

Mr. Krasheninnikov added that Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov would be present at the meeting. The meeting will not be broadcast live, something the Communists insisted on.

Opposition factions had gathered 101 signatures under an appeal for the government's resignation. On Friday, they received the Duma legal issues department's approval and the document was submitted for the Duma Council's consideration.

Besides opposition faction members, the appeal was signed by three members of the majority United Russia faction.

The government's press service confirmed Mr. Fradkov would attend the Duma meeting.
