MOSCOW, February 8 (RIA Novosti) - The Council of the State Duma put the question of no confidence in the government on the agenda for the February 9 plenary meeting, speaker of the State Duma Boris Gryzlov told journalists.

In Mr. Gryzlov's opinion, the Duma, however, will disagree with the proposal by a number of deputies to declare a vote of no confidence in the Cabinet of Ministers.

But he also said that the Duma intends to propose that a number of Ministers resolve all the problems related to the law on monetary compensation within two months time.

Mr. Gryzlov said that the meeting to discuss the vote of no confidence will begin at 12:30p.m. with a report from Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov on the results of the government's work in 2004. "His speech will last half an hour, and then we will allot two hours for the whole discussion - the speeches by the statement's initiators and by faction representatives, and the questions for Mikhail Fradkov," he noted.

According to Mr. Gryzlov, the consideration of the question will end at 3:00p.m.

He especially stressed that the discussion of this question will be open to mass media and the voting will be held in an open matter.

Asked if any member of the government will be present at the meeting, Mr. Gryzlov said that the head of the Cabinet of Ministers himself must decide this question.

"Mikhail Yefimovich agreed to come to the Duma meeting, and the question of whom he will take with him must be put to him," he noted and added that the State Duma deputies have claims "to separate Ministers."
