At the voting on Wednesday, supporters of the cabinet resignation have to gain 226 votes.
The United Russia faction, having 306 votes in the low parliamentary chamber, is against the no confidence vote.
"Most of the chamber will not support the no confidence statement", Duma speaker and leader of United Russia Boris Gryzlov has said.
Simultaneously, he noted that the State Duma is going to propose to some ministers to resolve problems of the benefit payments law during a definite period of time.
The KPRF faction (53 votes) will come up with a consolidated no confidence vote, coordinator Sergei Reshulski has said.
The Rodina (Motherland) faction holds the same position. At a sitting on Tuesday, the deputies have passed the decision on a consolidated no confidence vote.
Rodina has 39 votes in the State Duma. Four deputies will not attend the Wednesday sitting on valid excuse, press secretary Lidia Mikhailova said.
The LDPR faction (32 votes) will have free voting on passing, or not the vote of no confidence in the cabinet, Duma vice-speaker Vladimir Zhirinovsky had told RIA Novosti.
He does not rule out that the opinions of liberal democrats will split. "Our faction's leadership will certainly vote for no confidence in the current cabinet of ministers", Mr.Zhirinovsky said.
Independent deputies - 20 in all - are going to support the no confidence vote.
The KPRF faction has initiated passing the no confidence vote and announced the collection of parliamentarians' signatories under the statement.
