AMMAN, February 12 (RIA Novosti) - A Russian-Jordanian business council will be set up in Amman. It will comprise leading businessmen of the two countries. A relevant agreement was signed on Saturday by the delegation of the Russian-Arab business council and the Jordanian side.
According to Russian chief delegate, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Yevgeny Primakov, the formation of the business council promotes economic cooperation between the two countries and attraction of Russian investments in Jordan's economy.
Similar structures were formed under the Russian-Arab business council with businessmen of five Arab countries, including Syria, Lebanon and Saudi Arabia, Mr. Primakov said.
Moreover, the Russian and Jordanian Chambers of Commerce and Industry will sign a cooperation agreement.
On Saturday night the Russian delegation will go to Tehran to meet with Iranian top officials and businessmen and to sign an agreement on the formation of the Russian-Iranian business council.
