"These decisions could have been implemented without the faults which people faced and which had to be corrected later," Vladimir Putin said during the meeting with leaders of the State Duma factions in Tuesday.
However, the State Duma adopted very important laws, including the town-planning and housing codes and amendments to the tax legislation, the head of state emphasized.
Moreover, amendments were introduced to the law on political parties, the delimitation of authority between the federal center and regions and the new order of the election of regional leaders, Vladimir Putin noted.
"Other important laws for the development of Russia's economic and social spheres were adopted," Mr. Putin added.
"The State Duma of the fourth convocation has been working for over a year and we agreed to resume the practice of meetings with leaders of the Duma factions," the Russian President said.
Those attending were deputy chief of the presidential staff Vladislav Surkov, State Duma Speaker Boris Gryzlov, Vice Speaker, leader of the LDPR faction Vladimir Zhirinovsky, and leaders of the Rodina (Homeland) and Communist factions Dmitry Rogozin and Gennady Zyuganov.
