Moreover, the British ambassador enumerated 10 priorities of the United Kingdom which is to preside in G8. Among them are the speeding-up of globalization, the struggle against poverty in Africa and fundamentalism, environmental protection, the settlement of the Mideastern and Indian-Pakistani conflicts, cooperation with China, the fight against international terrorism and proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and the increase of the efficiency of the UN Security Council and the United Nations on the whole.
