KIEV, February 17 (RIA Novosti) - Ukrainian Fuel and Energy Minister Ivan Plachkov comes out for the promotion of integration of the Russian and Ukrainian energy systems, the Novosti-Ukraine agency reports.
Ukraine's integration into the European and Russian energy systems should be carried out simultaneously, Mr. Plachkov said at a briefing in Kiev.
According to him, preliminary work with European and Russian partners "on simultaneous integration" has been already held.
"Joint work is possible both from the technical and political points of view," the minister emphasized.
In his opinion, it is necessary to set up a special fund to decommission Ukrainian nuclear power plants.
We should solve this problem today, he stressed.
