MOSCOW, February 17 (Mikhail Smirnov, RIA Novosti sport commentator) - A junior Greco-Roman wrestling tournament is opening in Moscow, tomorrow, in memory of Olympic champion Boris Gurevich. The event is gathering contestants from 15 countries. The teams will represent 28 Russian regions, Israel, and 13 post-Soviet countries-CIS members and the Baltics.

Moscow's Wrestling Palace is hosting the Gurevich memorial for an 11th time now. Young men will contest in ten weights, and juniors in two. The boys will be very strong, says Rudolf Pogodin, chief referee. Young Armenian, Ukrainian and Baltic wrestlers are sure to make formidable rivals in the world's principal adult meets within several years, he forecasts.

The contest is arranged on new standards, with two bouts, a minute and a half each. A draw implies another bout, says Mikhail Mamiashvili, Russian Wrestling Federation President. The arrangement will make the meets a dynamic, suspense-laden sight for the fans.

The contest will take three days, to finish Sunday next.
