"Russia is one of the most important states in the region, our neighbor and a permanent member of the IAEA Board of Governors. We have always held consultations with Russia on the problem of Iran's nuclear programs," Mr. Rowhani told journalists on arriving from Moscow on Saturday.
According to Mr. Rowhani, "he held important constructive talks with Russian top officials on joint projects and discussed key regional problems, in particular, the construction of the nuclear power plant in Bushehr, nuclear issues, agreements on the launch of Iranian satellites by Russian specialists, the formation of a gas OPEC analogue and other international issues".
"Russia has confirmed Iran's right to develop peaceful nuclear technologies," Hasan Rowhani stressed.
Speaking about the uranium-enrichment activities which Iran had suspended, Mr. Rowhani noted that "Russia deemed it necessary to fix definite terms and relevant conditions to resume this work".
"Iran expects Russia to hold further consultations and negotiations on the solution of the Iranian nuclear problem," he added.
