MOSCOW, February 19 (RIA Novosti) - President of Turkmenistan Saparmurat Niyazov reaffirmed his intention to attend the celebrations of the 60th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War during a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, the press service of the Russian President reported.
Mr. Putin congratulated Mr. Niyazov on his 65th birthday.
"Saparmurat Niyazov thanked the Russian President for the congratulation and confirmed his intention to participate in the Victory Day celebrations in Moscow where the heads of state would be able to discuss issues of mutual interest," said the Kremlin press service.
