BRUSSELS, February 23 (RIA Novosti's Alexander Shishlo) - Ukraine's integration into the European Union creates no problems to Russia, said Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko.
"Nobody can say that the rapprochement with the EU can affect our relations with Russia," Mr. Yushchenko said at a plenary session of the European Parliament in Strasbourg.
According to him, the cooperation with the Russian Federation will be based on Kiev's new regional policy.
If Ukraine joins NATO and the European Union, it will never act against the interests of Russian people, Mr. Yushchenko assured.
