MOSCOW, February 23 (RIA Novosti) - According to Secretary of the Chechen Security Council Rudnik Dudayev, the information that Chechen terrorist leader Shamil Basayev was hiding in the Krasnodar territory for a month is "propagandist nonsense".
"This is another propagandist action of separatists and there is nothing new in it," Mr. Dudayev told RIA Novosti on the phone.
The Ekho Moskvy radio station said referring to the web site of Chechen separatists that Basayev was undergoing medical treatment in a town in the Krasnodar territory and married a Cossack woman there on February 14.
According to Ekho Moskvy, Shamil Basayev has already returned to Chechnya.
