"At issue will be Russia-EU interaction, preparations for the Russia-EU summit scheduled for May 10, 2005, and work on the formation of the four common spaces - the economic space; the space of security and justice; the space of external security cooperation; and the space of science, education and culture," Mr. Yakovenko said.
"The ministers will traditionally focus on key international problems - the developments in Iraq and the Middle East, non-proliferation, the OSCE activities, and settlement of regional conflicts," the official spokesman noted.
Speaking about the elaboration of a join plan of actions on the formation of the Common Economic Space, Mr. Yakovenko said that "the draft document could be prepared by the forthcoming Russia-EU summit if our partners displayed constructive approach and readiness for compromise and would lift their demands in the spheres of transport, energy and price-formation in Russia".
