MOSCOW, February 26 (RIA Novosti) - Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Yuri Fedotov and Administrator of the United Nations Development Program Mark Malloch-Brown discussed the UN reforms in New York on Friday "to consolidate the organization's central role in the world affairs". A relevant statement of the press and information department of the Russian Foreign Ministry was circulated on Saturday.
"The Russian side reaffirmed the support for collective efforts of the UN member-states and Secretary General Kofi Annan in this important sphere. Mark Malloch-Brown agreed with the necessity to make decisions in this key sphere on the basis of maximally wide support of the UN countries," the Russian Foreign Ministry told RIA Novosti.
