Appearing before journalists in Novosibirsk, where an international antiterrorist conference is held, Mr. Nurgaliev noted the importance of propaganda work as shaping public opinion in condemnation of terrorism.
"At the conference in Novosibirsk, joint approaches of the secret services to the problem of countering suicide terrorists were considered," he said.
The problem of suicide terrorism is foremost in Russia and other countries, he said. It has its specifics in each country, Mr. Nurgaliev remarked. "The ideology of suicide terrorism depends on the social and economic level in a country," he added.
The interior minister stressed the need of a joint effort to be made by the secret services against the evil.
"A suicide terrorist can hardly be stopped and even revealed. This requires minute work of all the secret services, above all operative and investigative," Mr. Nurgaliev said.
Combination of efforts, information support and a single database are the directions for the secret services to work against suicide terrorists, he stressed.
