"The attention to this problem in society has been gradually abating. But the tragedy, especially for those who lost their children, conversely, intensifies, when the warmth of the people around them decreases. That is why the rehabilitation center must be not so much of the medical as of the spiritual-psychological character," Bishop Feofan said.
According to him, the center has actually started operating on the basis of the new Epiphany nunnery near the town of Alaguir (several dozens kilometers away from Beslan).
"It is the first operating rehabilitation center. People have already been coming there, participating in the construction of buildings. It will be able to simultaneously accommodate about 100 people," the Bishop stressed.
The combination of medical and psycho-therapeutic services, nature and a spiritual component - monastic silence which, as the ROC representative said, makes it possible to perceive a touch to eternity - is a specific feature of the center.
Presumably, catamarans and even horses will be at the disposal of the guests of the center which is surrounded by a few lakes.
"We will by no means divide people on the religious basis, the center will be open to all, both the Orthodox and the Moslems," the Bishop stressed.
He also noted specially that the signing of the protocol on the joint construction of the center's facilities is of great importance for the process of restoration of unity of the Russian Church. "The dialogue of the Moscow Patriarchate and the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia is passing from a theoretical one into practical cooperation," Bishop Feofan stressed.
