MOSCOW, March 21 (RIA Novosti) - RAO Unified Energy Systems of Russia plans to invite U.S. lawyers to defend Valery Pasat, advisor of Russia's national power grid's CEO Anatoly Chubais.
"We have already hired Moldovan lawyers and plan to hire American lawyers," Chubais told journalists on Monday.
"Our position remains unchanged," he said commenting on the official charges, which the Moldovan court had brought against Valery Pasat last week.
"There are no grounds for the arrest. I am convinced that any objective and unbiased court will prove Pasat's innocence," Chubais stressed.
According to him, RAO UES will provide Pasat's defense using all legal methods.
