According to him, a just exchange of opinions should be the key aspect of this event. Representatives of all parties and movements should be attending, he noted.
Speaking about the roundtable's agenda, the Chechen president said that it should focus on preparations for the forthcoming parliamentary elections in the republic. "We are getting ready for the parliamentary elections. This is a painful issue but we have done a lot," Alkhanov emphasized.
In his opinion, democratic elections involving all strata of the population should be held in Chechnya.
The Chechen President thanked the Council of Europe for humanitarian aid to the republic and control over the observation of human rights. "Any assistance is valuable," he said.
