According to Gazprom, mutually beneficial long-term partnership covering the whole range from production to the sale of finished goods remains the key principle of Russian-German energy cooperation.
The Eastern Committee of the German Economy was established in 1952 as a collective body of a number of German business unions. German enterprises working in Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, South-Eastern Europe, the Baltic States, the Caucasus and Central Asia are members of the Eastern Committee.
The main task of the Eastern Committee is to promote the activities of German enterprises in the development of trade, industry, investments and services. The committee represents and unites interests of the German economy in the above-mentioned countries and regions.
