This place saw violent battles between Russian and Swedish troops in August-September 1808.
Tourists will be also shown a theater performance reconstructing fragments of battles.
The examination and reconstruction of these objects is planned as part of the international project "Koljenvirta - history and entrepreneurship". It is organized by the Finish park-museum Koljenvirta located at the site of the Finnish-Swedish battle in October 1808.
Finnish historians regards this event as a part of common history of Russia and Finland. A number of sites on Russian territory are to be included in Finland's museum network.
The Republican center for the preservation of Karelia's cultural heritage objects and the Moscow Interkultura non-commercial organization are involved in the project.
