MOSCOW, March 24 (RIA Novosti) - The opera Rosenthal's Children will remain on the Bolshoi Theater's repertoire.
"All rumors that the opera Rosenthal's Children (music by Leonid Desyatnikov, libretto by Vladimir Sorokin) will be removed from the Bolshoi Theater's repertoire are groundless," theater's general director Anatoly Iksanov told RIA Novosti.
According to him, the opera's premiere was a success yesterday, there were no incidents and the performance met with a favorable reception.
Iksanov believes that the audience determines the destiny of this or that performance.
"If the audience is interested in a new performance, we should not be concerned about its destiny," he said.
The next performances of Rosenthal's Children are scheduled for March 25 and 27.
