The exhibition's motto "Nature's Wisdom" largely determines the content and message of exhibits demonstrating the latest methods of preserving the environment and ways of harmonizing humanity's existence, Strashko believes.
"Russia is in a position to show to the whole world specimens of advanced ideas from nanotechnology and also power and emergency prevention technologies," he indicated.
The commissioner recalled that the Russian pavilion whose exposition theme is "The Noosphere's Harmony" will feature five sections: man and new technologies, man and outer space, Russia's natural resources, the mosaic of cultures, and the megalopolis of Moscow, the capital of Russia.
Alexander Losyukov, Russia's ambassador to Tokyo, attended the opening ceremony, apart from Strashko.
