NAGOYA (Japan), March 24, (RIA Novosti, Andrei Fesyun) - The world EXPO-2005 exhibition is a valuable place where foremost representatives of all countries can exchange advanced experience and their views directly, Vladimir Strashko, general commissioner of the Russian exposition and vice-president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia, said in a RIA Novosti interview. He was speaking after the exhibition's official opening ceremony of the exhibition held in the suburb of Nagoya of the Japanese prefecture of Aichi.

In the commissioner's view, this is a universal show, and each country is representing there its vision of ways to promote society's spiritual and technological development.

The exhibition's motto "Nature's Wisdom" largely determines the content and message of exhibits demonstrating the latest methods of preserving the environment and ways of harmonizing humanity's existence, Strashko believes.

"Russia is in a position to show to the whole world specimens of advanced ideas from nanotechnology and also power and emergency prevention technologies," he indicated.

The commissioner recalled that the Russian pavilion whose exposition theme is "The Noosphere's Harmony" will feature five sections: man and new technologies, man and outer space, Russia's natural resources, the mosaic of cultures, and the megalopolis of Moscow, the capital of Russia.

Alexander Losyukov, Russia's ambassador to Tokyo, attended the opening ceremony, apart from Strashko.
