BISHKEK, March 26 (RIA Novosti) - Yelena Sevchikova, press secretary of the acting president of Kyrgyzstan, told journalists that a press conference with Bakiyev, due to start a few minutes later, would be adjourned. The reason was that an assassination attempt on Bakiyev was said to have been arranged.
After extra security measures are taken, the press conference will be held in the Kyrgyz National Security Council building.
